Enough Memory

I have recently bought a new computer -
AMD 2500+
512Mb

I run mozilla with about 6 windows open - left open all day

Excel with 20meg spredsheet

PocoMail - I have ADSL Broadband

MailWasher - Iget 50% spam

When I have not used mozilla for an hour or so it seems to take for
ever to Maximize.

With all I have running would an extra 512mb of memory help or does
unused programs get paged out anyway and it would not make a
difference

Also, in ssee the
thread "Mozilla 1.6 needs 40 megabytes"...

open task manager and click on the performance tab, you
can see how much memory is being used and how much swap
file used.

512 is enough. Your problem is elsewhere.
