Hi. How can I set dual display on ThinkPad 570 in Windows XP? The
machine is originally Windows 98 preloaded, comes with NeoMagic
MagicGraph 256AV video chip. In Windows 98 I can get two different
displays by connecting an external monitor. Windows XP is fresh
installed, every drivers are properly installed. However, the dual
display capability is gone. Is this function not possible on TP570 in
XP? Any feedback is appreciated. //Ed

Locate and download the Win2000 drivers from the IBM support site. I
ran into the same issues on my ThinkPad 600X when upgrading from Win2000
to WinXp and discovered that I could not separately adjust the
properties of the external display anymore...a real no-no when running
PowerPoint for example. The MS drivers just don't cut it.

When you install the drivers, ignore the warning that they are not
certified for use in Windows XP blah blah blah.

Here's the link for the latest Win2000 display drivers. Note that IBM
doesn't have any WinXP drivers. Please let me know how it works!
