Draw tooloolbar in Word 2000

I am uable to access the dropdown options in the Draw toolbar in Word 2000.
for example, when I click on the Draw toolbar and it shows up, if I go to
"rotate", I am unable to access rotate or flip. Can anyone help me with
this.

Have you selected a drawn object? You must dran something and make sure it is
selected before you can access Rotate or Flip. If you draw a Rectangle,
you'll know it's selected if it has little white squares on its edges.

Or is it that you can't access any commands?

er... "dran" should have been "draw".

I've selected an object, but I still can't get the dropdown toolbar to work.
Any other suggestions? thanks
