Hi, Does anyone know what DPMS Suspend Mode means? I had to have a new hard
drive and video card installed in my sons computer and when I brought it home
and plugged it in that is all i get on the screen.

This quote from PC Guide http://www.pcguide.com/ref/crt/powerDPMS-c.html

"Display Power Management System protocol, also called DPMS. DPMS is used to
selectively shut down parts of the monitor's circuitry after a period of
inactivity. With a motherboard and monitor that support DPMS, power
consumption can be greatly reduced. Motherboards that support DPMS often
have a BIOS setting to enable it."

I assume from your post that Windows does not boot. You could be having a
conflict between your old monitor and the new video card. You need to have a
technician set up the BIOS to resolve this conflict. This does NOT
necessarily mean you have to buy a new monitor.
