double clicking .bat files gives "file not found"!

Not sure what I did now. When I double click this bat file, it gives
me: "Windows cannot find 'c:\cygwin\cygwin.bat'. Make sure you typed
the name correctly ...." Clearly the file was there in the first place
otherwise I could not have clicked it.!

If I use a DOS prompt, cd into c:\cygwin, and then type cygwin.bat,
the bat file then runs.

Furthermore, if I switch to another user, then double-clicking the
same file also works.

What can I do to fix it?

Thanks,
Carlos

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it did not clear the problem. The
link suggests:

1. Ntvdm system not working:

It is. I can open an MS-DOS window (command prompt). In fact I can
even run the bat file from the command prompt. I just can't
double-click it.

2. Then the link suggests cases where DOS programs would not work:

I does not apply because this thing was working less then 24 hrs ago.
And it even works from the command prompt.

Could this be a PATH issue? I do I check it?

Thanks,
Carlos
