Can Windows XP Home addition support Distinctive Ring? If
so how do I configure the pc?

Windows XP does not natively support Distinctive Ring. Check the
support website of the manufacturer of your modem for possible
Windows XP compatible software that may offer this feature.

Your modem has to support distinctive ring. Does it? If your modem
supports it, it will work in XP. Check your modem manual.
