Disable standby (?)

Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to keep a laptop fully functional while the
screen is latched down? At the moment it goes into standby when I close the
screen.

I have a Dell laptop with windows XP prof.

Any help greatly appreciated.

There could be an option in WinXP for this. Check Control Panel - Power
Options.
