Desktop Icons

I have a little XP Professional network in my doctors
office.
At one Workstation I have problems with the XP
installation.
Even after reinstalling the OS: after some minutes or
hours during the configurationwork
suddenly I can't move the desktop icons any more on the
desktop.
I can try to postion the icons new, but if I leave the
mouse click immediately
the icon jumps to the original position, even if I
deactivate the autoarrangement of the icons.
