DESKTOP ICONS SHUFFLED

I use a lot of desktop folders and icons and every time I
use the Digital Blue QX3 microscope (which resets the
screen definition temporarily) all my icons get reshuffled
so I can't find them any more. Is there any way of saving
the positions of icons on the desktop?

Geoff, I have a small program that I downloaded from somewhere (maybe
PCWorld) that saves your desktop and when it has been changed will restore
it to the saved one. It is called Save My Desktop. If you are interested,
