desk top icons

All my desk top icons have changed plus if I go to start/control Panel the
icons there are all the same to, I posted an example of what they all look
like here:

How can I get my icons back to the default icons?
Please, if you can give me a step by step, I am new user with xp.

Use the repair feature to repair your icons.
