I have XP Pro on my main pc and I can create or delete
any account I wish on there, but how do you delete the
guest account on XP Home Edition that i'm running on my
other pc? I must be over looking something. Or can it be
done at all? I'm logged in as an administrator but don't
see where to remove it.

Thanks for any reply.

In XP Home, if you wish to delete the account you have to
do it by dos prompt. XP home doesnt have the gpedit.msc
like you're used to in XP Pro. To delete it go to cmd.exe
by the start menu, run. Then at the prompt type, "net
user /delete Guest" and you're done. Its gone. You may
want to try typing "net localgroup Administrator" to
check out who can be the administrator on your computer.
Pretty interesting stuff. Also check out the no password
Admin account in safemode. Hope this helps!

Ok, I tried deleting from cmd.exe but it gave me this
message "Cannot perform this operation on built-in
accounts." Also when i tried "net localgroup
Administrator" it told me "The specified local group does
not exist." Still stuck with Guest account. :(

Any other ideas?
