Dead Newsgroups?

I see you guys posting, i try to read, it says message no longer available
on the server. (Im using OE) I go out to the community newsgroups
website....and....what do i get....page can not be displayed. what the heck
is goin on?
 
never mind....it seems to have "fixed" as I typed that. sorry to have wasted
your time...and I know..I know...next time test in the "test" groups

For a better newsgroup experience. Setup a newsreader.

yea, it only did that for about 5 minutes, it appears to be working fine
now. thanks anyways
 
You connect to different servers. It takes time for messages to synch. One server that you got the count from knew about the message. The server you attempted to get the message from hasn't yet. OE remembers it wasn't available and doesn't retry.

Only if you can tell me how without registering? I'm not entering any passwords beyond what MS makes me. They aren't MS so they can get stuffed.

It may well be that your ISP is retaining them for a very short time on
its server. Switch to using the Microsoft one - msnews.microsoft.com
No logon is needed
