My neighbor has windows xp installed on a new repartitioned and formatted
hard drive. It originally had widnows 98 on it before he wiped it clean and
installed the windows XP upgrade. He had a camera, an A303 Fujifilm FinePik.
It would not work after XP was installed. I tried to uninstall the camera
drivers in device mgr. under imaging devices in regular and in safe mode but
they will not uninstall. It says, "failed to uninstall the device. The device
may be required to start up the computer". I then decided to reinstall the
drivers but when I put the drivers disk and tried to reinstall it will not
reinstalled and it mentions a file by the name of "Data2.cab" being missing.
Where could I find this file and where does it belong? I searched Google and
Microsoft but cannot find the file. I would also like to know why this camera
does not uninstall. This windows XP also has SP2 included. Any help would be
appreciated. TIA.

I think you need to uninstall the Fuji USB driver from within Control
Panel/add&remove.
Then you need to follow the install directions carefully...which say with my
Fuji Camera that I need to hook the camera up to the USB port and then install
the drivers.

Peter! I rechecked the uninstall instructions again and it says to uninstall
the camera driver through the device mgr., as I explained earlier, but it
will not allow me to do this. Any other ideas? Also I certainly don't know
why when I try to reinstall it is asking for the file, data2.cab. What is
this file, where can a person find it and where does it belong at in the
computer? Thanks
