80 gb on main hard drive captures at 14000 kbyte/sec which is great for Pinicle studio 8. I installed a 2nd drive of 160 gb's from Western Digital that only records at 2000 kbytes.Pinicle requires 4000 kbytes. After I transfer captured videos from drive 1 onto the 2nd drive, I get choppy video played in various formats wmp9,real,and pinicle. My 2nd hard drive replays captured video too slow causing choppy video.I was hoping to use the 2nd drive for home videos storage and disc burning. Do I try a new software that is compatible or get the to drives to oporate in unison?

a) What speeds are the drives rated at? 7200rpm or 5400rpm.

b) What are the drives rated at? ATA66, ATA100, ATA133? What speeds does
your motherboard accept/recognize?

c) Are both drives on the same IDE controller or separate?

d) Are both drives connected using an 80 wire ribbon cable?

More info needed.
