With a CD inserted in my D drive, when I try to open the
drive or copy a file to it, I am getting an error message
that reads "D:\is not accessible. Incorrect function.

Any idea how to correct this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

is that ANY CD or just one in particular?

Do you have any CD burning software installed, if so what brand and version?
Is this a CD-R or a formatted CD-RW disk?

My software is named Roxio Easy CD Creator Platinum
(5.1.0.104). I'm using a CD-RW disk.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm noticing something similar in Version 6. However, I'm able to save to
the disk and drag and drop to the disk. Assuming you have the Direct CD
component installed, have you tried to simply save to disk or drag and drop
and do you have the latest updates for your version from the Roxio site?

Is recording enabled in the drive properties? If not, you will receive the
error message.
