Install Linux and you will likely have the same problems.

Since you didn't post any error messages I will assume there are none. That
being the case,
look to your hardware.

1. Over heating
2. Power supply voltages
3. RAM

Hi

Try this to see what the problem may be:

Right click on My Computer, select Properties and then the Advanced tab.
Click on Settings under Startup and Recovery and disable 'Automatically
restart'. Next time your PC reboots, you should see a Blue Screen. Could
you please post the Stop Code that accompanies that BSOD back here? With
that your problem could be isolated.

*No* operating system is "perfect"--not Windows XP, not Linux, not any
other. Good as Windows XP is, I've never heard anyone claim it is perfect.

Spontaneous rebooting is most often a hardware problem, not a Windows one.
For example, you could have defective RAM, be overheating, or have a flaky
power supply.

You are presumably blue-screening, and you are set to reboot whenever that
happens. Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties. On the Advanced
tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System failure,
uncheck the box "Automatically restart.

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of restarting, you will get the
blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those details for
more help.
