Anyone seen this one? For me to get to Community
Newsgroups.....HERE....about every 4th time I have to delete a cookie named
"(e-mail address removed)". If I don't, I get a "page cannot be
displayed" error. I can get to the Community Newsgroups" page, I can click
on "English", I can hit all the plus signs you want on the left side, but
when I actually try to get into a newgroup, I get the error.

Setup and use Outlook Express as your newsreader.

No offense Wesley, but I read a little and started to do it. That just seems
like a lot of work. I also try to avoid OE as I have to spend time killing
MS Messenger or the junk that starts it. Wish there was just an easy
solution to my cookie problem. Seems there is one somewhere.

I'm not offended. You're the one who is at a disadvantage. ;-)

If you plan on spending *any* time at all in the newsgroups, setting up OE
is the only way to go. Otherwise you're trying to race in the Indy 500 with
no car, two broken legs and crutches.

Once OE is setup, you'll kick yourself for not setting it up earlier.

Am I going to have to set up every newsgroup I want to visit? I wan to just
beable to go to the MS site and choose one from the many, many newsgroups I
go to.

P.S. Just tried the kill-the-messenger zip file. Love it. Been wanting
something like that for 5 years.

Setting up Outlook Express Newsreader
http://michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm

I use msnews.microsoft.com as the server.

Under that I have:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics
microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage
microsoft.public.windowsxp.customize
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support
microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers
microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain
microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admin
microsoft.public.windowsxp.setup_deployment

You just have to subscribe to whatever groups that you want to access.
Subscribe is a big word. The benefit of subscribing is that the newsgroup
is included in your Folders list for easy access.

To subscribe to a newsgroup
