I have a promise ultra100tx2 card installed on my win xp
computer. I bought a HP photo printer and it will no
install. Under device manager I have a directory other
devices with two subdirectories stating mass storage
controller. Both entries have the yellow question mark
on them and point to PCI slot 2. The promise card is in
pci slot 1. The card is shown correctly under Scsi
devices as the Promise Ultra100TX2 with no problems.

Trying to uninstall the two listings under OTHER just
results in them showing back up the next time you
reboot. I tried to uninstall the promise card under
device manager and take the promise card out of the
machine but that only results in not being able to
reboot. Please help!

The scsi, raid, controler cards get installed to the BIOS as well,if all i
deleted in windows dwnload and flash the BIOS to reset to default.

I'm not sure what the controller card has to do with the printer, and why
you are trying to uninstall it if it's working correctly.
