control applets gone

Hello,

I have a wierd one...something i have never seen before. All the applets in
my control panel have disappeared. I can find some by there .cpl extension,
but would like to have them all restored. Anyone know?

Not that weird (assuming you mean icons have disappeared?), I've heard
others complain of the same affliction.
Do you have TweakUI installed? It has the ability to show/hide certain
icons.
Choices:
1. Get TweakUI and see if showing all fixes it.
2. Wait till they reappear(!) apparently it happens.
3. Try running repair from the XP disk.

If this is XP Pro:

Go to Start/Run/Gpedit: User Config./Admin Templates/Control Panel and
doubleclick "Hide specified Control Panel applets"

Other edits would include: Don't Load.

If you are using TweakUI, check under Control Panel.

GO KELLY! I went ahead and set everything to "not configured" and they
reappeared. Much thanks...
