Will anything serious happen to my computer if I delete
this entire folder?

Is it safe to delete the individual files in each folder
within the Content.IE5 folder?
 
No, nothing serious will happen if you delete that folder - it is your browser's cache, and it will be recreated when you reboot. And, yes, it's perfectly safe to delete individual files in that folder.
 
It will return later if you do delete it.

The usual to clear your cache:
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)
