HELP!
I have two XP clients which cannot connect to any network
shares using straight IP Address. GET THIS -- I CAN
connect using the UNC or the server name. (So I know that
IP does get resolved.)
For example: My server IP is at 10.10.0.5 and the name
is BEAR. This is my Domain Controller.
If I open RUN and type the following:
"RUN \\10.10.0.5" i get "The network path was not found."
If I type the following:
"RUN \\bear" it gives me a list of all the shares that
exist on Bear.
I can ping 10.10.0.5 and ping bear and it resolves every
time.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil
