Confirm Delete Dialogue

Is there any way to switch off the confirm delete function when trying to
delete text by highlighting and use of the Delete key. I am finding that I
get the message "Confirm block delete Yes/No?" when trying to delete text
from a table cell.

"Tools", "Options", uncheck the two WordPerfect options under the "General"
TAB.
