computer question!!

Please can somebody help, when I switch my computer on
It boots up ok. Then just before it gets to desktop it
restarts
for some reason. Can somebody tell me how to stop this
problem?

what is age of pc? possible power issue (power supply,
mb power mgmt). possible lost sector of hd including
necessary boot info; solution: reinstall OS (run
chkdsk/scandisk option)
