Client-Side Rules

Is there a setting in Outlook 2003 to run client-side rules for items in your
Inbox automatically when you open Outlook?

Any rules that could not be applied by the server generate "deferred action" that should cause the rule to be applied when the Outlook client opens.

My client-side rules are not automatically running when I open Outlook. What
could be the problem? I recently changed PCs last week too, so I had a new
Outlook profile setup on the new PC.

I am not concerned about the server-side rules at this time. My client-side
rules move items to my PST folder.

Did you check all the rules after the change to make sure they are (a) still active and (b) point to the correct folders?

Yes, I have checked the rules. They all have a checkmark next to them and
point to the same folder as they did before.

I can't explain why they might not be running automatically. Do they run OK manually?
