CheckDisk starts running at every Windows XP Home Startup.
It never finds any errors! Why is it so? Can it be stopped
from running unless there is a REAL need?
Has anyone experienced the same annoying event.
Can anyone help?

This issue can occur if the System registry hive or the Software
registry hive is damaged.
see whether a volume's dirty bit is set. Sets a volume's dirty bit. When
a volume's dirty bit is set, autochk automatically checks the volume for
errors the next time the computer is restarted.
Syntax
fsutil dirty {query | set} VolumePathname
Start>Run>CMD>fsutil dirty query X:[X=drive letter]
if dirty then:-
start>Run>CMD>CHKNTFS /?
[CHKNTFS displays or specifies whether automatic system checking is
scheduled to be run on a file allocation table (FAT), FAT32, or NTFS
volume when the computer is started].
You may also try this edit:-
