Changing to IE5.5 from IE6.0

Hi. I am running Windows Me and IE6.0. I am switching to
BT Broadband and the tech. support at BT tell me that it
will not work with IE6.0, only IE5.5. I have tried to
delete the IE6.0 from my computer, but it will not
complete. That means that I cannot instal IE5.5.

I don't know what support is on about - BT Broadband works quite happily
with IE6, IE5.5, Opera or any other browaser you care to mention...
