Hello all. I have read this forum, and I have attempted
all posted resolutions, to no avail. Here is the issue:

Using IE 6, SP1, with Windows XP SP1, FULLY UPDATED, with
Norton Internet Security, I cannot access webpages such
as http://www.angelfire.com/login.shtml or
http://osap.gov.on.ca

When I try to access those pages, I receive a "Page
Cannot be Displayed" Error.

However, if I use another computer in the house, on the
same network, I can access the page with no problems.

I have removed all Spyware from the computer, using
AdAware, CWShedder and Hijackthis, to no avail. I have
formatted the computer, re-installed the OS, completely
updated it, to no avail. I have appled the new Security
Update for Internet Explorer Fix Q832894, to no avail. I
have disabled, and even uninstalled Norton, to no avail.

I have exhausted all options that I can think of. Any
further suggestions?

Read this article and if applicable try the tool.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

If you did not create the file, then you may have parasites, or you are
using a web accelerator program that would be causing this problem.

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.

As stated earlier, there are no spyware, adware, or
hijack programs on this computer.

Also, your fix did not work.

Any further suggestions?
