cardreaderlookup error when shutting down - Please help

I keep getting "cardreaderlookup error when I shut down XP.
It is driving me insane. I have no idea what this is and was wondering if I
need it.
It has only been happening for about amonth, although I have had XP for years.
What is causing this and can I remove the program if someone can tell me
where it is. This is driving me insane. I have done a search of the microsoft
knowledge base and am at a loss to know there are no threads or in the forums
or information about it on the support area. I know that I am not the only
one experiencing this problem. I hope someone can help me .
