Can't seem to play mpeg (or any movie) files ??

Hello all,

I'm not sure what happened to my computer lately, but things aren't working
as smooth as they were a week ago. I'm running XP Home and Internet Explorer
6.0. I also had an issue during this same time with Outlook not remembering
my passwords. Someone helped me with that issue, but I still have a couple
more things that aren't working.

One issue is I'm not able to view mpeg files (or any movie clip files). I'll
click to open a mpeg, but nothing will happen. It's almost like I didn't
even click on the file.

Another issue is when I go to log into sites (that need a password) IE won't
recognize my password. I'll enter my user name and password and the same
pop-up remains asking me for my user name and password again. I can't seem
to get passed this.

Any clue what I can do to fix one, or both of these problems that started
out of no where???

Thanks in advance for any help...

Are you blocking all cookies in your internet options?. Some sites might
need to have them enabled to work this. Also go tools, internet options,
content, autocomplete and see if your options are ticked for passwords and
stuff to. As for the mpeg Right click it and hold the shift button down,
open with . Choose program and tick the box to open with this in the future
(pick media player). If not go to www.download.com and download bsplayer
which is good also for playing mpegs. You might of done all the top already.
Hope it helps mate.
