The master CD-r/w-rom is set to master and the other one is set to slave.. same for both hard drives so the settings are ok.. I have checked and reset and recheck the cables, they seem to be working just fine, if they weren't it wouldn't boot up even with the old cd-rom back in, right? This is what has me baffled.. what is it with this cd-rom slave that seems to have the control over my computer booting? It don't make sense.. [/QUOTE]
