I was able to get into safemode and I restore my pc,but now i can't
back in winxp just keep takeing me back the same place, saying if want
to start windows nurmally when I clik yes takes me right back to the
same place I whent to my bios set it to boot from hd.I try recovery
but keep asking administrator passward never had one.can someone help
me thank you.don't know if I need to do xp alover again

Phil,

This happens if the /safeboot switch is added in the Boot.ini file.
/Safeboot parameter forces a start in safe mode by using the specified
parameters. Follow these steps to resolv the problem:

o Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG
o Select the Boot.ini tab
o If you have dual-boot setup, select the appropriate entry under
[operating systems]
o In the Boot Options section at the bottom, uncheck /SAFEBOOT option
o Click OK
o Restart Windows

Alternately, you can also edit the Boot.ini file manually and then remove
the /safeboot switch. See article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q289022

You can't enter into the Safe mode is likely to be a switch setting in
Boot.ini.
Start>Run MSconfig>ok ,on the Boot.ini page you normally should have all
boxes unchecked - or the /SAFEMODE one checked if you wish to enter
safe mode.

Hi Phil,

While in Safe Mode, go to Start/Run/Msconfig/Boot.ini and uncheck Safe Boot.
Reboot.
