I went to setup a friends system so they could share their HP PSC2110 printer, but had a major issue. Here is the story: Desktop1 is running Windows XP Pro SP2 and connected via ethernet connection to a D-Link DI-524 wireless router. HP PSC2110 printer is connected to Desktop1 via USB port. Printer works fine from Desktop1. Desktop2 is running Windows XP Pro SP2 and using D-Link USB wireless device to connect to the Internet. The issue: I am trying to share the HP printer that is connected to Desktop1. 1. Both access the Internet perfectly. 2. I have enabled file and print sharing on both systems and run the network setup wizard on both systems. I called the network mshome. 3. Desktop1 can see the files on Desktop2 4. Desktop2 canNOT see the files nor the printer on Desktop1. In fact, I am getting the error, "Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions". 5. Both firewalls are turned off while trouble-shooting (they were running the built-in XP firewall). Appreciate thoughts as to why Desktop2 cannot see the HP printer connected to Desktop1. Thanks....Curt
