One of the computers at home got hit with a lot of ad
software and spyware. I removed everything I could
through Add/Remove Programs and deleting "Run" registry
keys that started up the software. But there's still
something left in IE that starts whenever IE is run. I
see under the View>Toolbars command that there are at
least 6 blank toolbars. There's no name or text
associated with them. The toolbars won't show up full
size like a regular toolbar, they're just a bunch of
small borders beneath the regular toolbars. I can't
resize them. Most of them I can get to stay closed, but
one keeps resetting itself to be active whenever I start
IE. Two questions:
1) How do I manually remove toolbars from IE if there's
no Add/Remove program entry?
2) Where else can I check to see if something is running
inside of IE so I can stop the ads from popping up?
