I am using Outlook XP. I cannot delete any emails in my Inbox before
July 28, 2003. Needless to say, I have ~1,000 emails there that I want
to delete.

Anytime I try to delete one of these messages I get a messagebox that
says:

"The message interface has returned an unknown error. If the
problem persists, restart Outlook."

I have restarted Outlook a couple of times, but no dice. About two
months ago I had a corrupted PST file, and ran the PST repair tool,
which seemed to fix the problem I was having at the time, but perhaps is
responsible for this snafu? Should I try running this again?

It seems like there are a lot of these types of questions:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=...=Search&meta=group=microsoft.public.outlook.*

But I was unable to find any answers...

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

you may want to just set up a new personal folder, and then move or copy the
items that you want to keep into the new folder...

File->New->Personal Folders File. Open both and use drag and drop to move
items from one .pst to another. In the process, you might want to move your
in-box items one by one until you find the one that is corrupt. The
operation will fail when you find that mail.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer:

| How do I do that? Is it easy to move over entire folder structures?
| I have a ton of folders and subfolder and subfolders and so on.

| Thanks.
