Can XP ad install programs to registry without reloading?

If I have programs installed on another drive or partition drive with all their updates, is there a way to was a fresh install of XP add them to registery and all other features work such as uninstall
Or am I forced to reload all the software programs again

Unless you cloned the drive (using something like Drive Image or Ghost) you
would have to reinstall because all the registry entries would need to be
replaced (and, no, simply restoring a registry back-up would /not/ work),
not to mention all the entries and files Office et al place in the Windows
folder.
