When windowsxp professional starts the desktop appears,
and all of the screen icons appear then a pop up window
opens and I get an error message which reads "error
loading NvCpl.dll A dynamic link library (DLL)
initilization Routine failed" Can anyone help me correct
this?
Thanks, John R.

It is a component of the nVidia driver set.

Download latest nVidia driver for Windows XP
Uninstall your current driver from Control Panel
Add/Remove Prgrm.
Reboot PC
Install new driver

Hi John,

You need to reinstall your Nvidia video drivers.

.
Your error is caused by your Nvidia display card.
Possible reason is updated driver wrong or wrong OEM
display driver. Check to make sure you have the proper
Nvidia driver for your card from manufacture.
