Marsha

I just didn't get any answers to my problem last week, so I thought I'd try
again. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I have an XP laptop that is generating a few hundred Audit records per weeek
(sometimes 20/hour) for no apparent reason. I know how to manage Auditing
via the Local Security Policy in XP Pro, but this is XP home, with no Local
Security Policy available. Either I need help in installing that plug-in
from my other XP Pro machine (detailed instructions, please) or another way
of dealing with Auditing gone
wild. Thanks for your help.

Hello Wex,

Yes, your pointers are quite helpful - I will try the filtering suggestions.
Your original post of 04 Dec 2004 6:05PM just didn't get to me. It still
doesn't show up - I'm using OE as the newsgroup reader - maybe there is a
problem with it. Sorry, but I just didn't see any replys until my new post
today. I appreciate the help from you folks.

Hi Marxha,

I guess for some reason or other posts will fail to show. Beats me why.

I saw your two posts and my post ~Saturday, 04 December, 2004 6:05 PM
and was really curious. :-)

Sorry - LSP needs support that is in Pro only.
