calculation expression

I am trying to write an expression the will give the sum of a column.
example: I have a quote sheet and I want the sum of the "Item Cost" for all
items. Thanks for your help.

Is this a form, or a query, or a report? I'll assume a continuous form, and the
calculated field will be in the form footer...

To sum a non-calculated "bound" control in the form footer...
= Sum([Item Cost])
