BSOD on games after SP2

I loaded XP SP2 (through the automatic windows update). since then I get the
blue screen of death for games like Ages of Mythology or DOOM 3. Everything
else seems to work fine.

I have updated my video drivers Geforce 5200.

the stop error message has ONLY this inforamtion:
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc00000005, 0x869f2e22, 0xeb901856, 0x00000000)

Any ideas?
