Running windows XP, fully updated, IE6. Problem started 6
weeks ago when home page would load and then hang for
about 30s before browsing could commence. Then linkks
from emails and pop up links (wanted) and even XP update
downloads would not happen. In the case of IE6 window
would open but with no address and with hour glass
working but no contents would load. Now problem seems to
have expanded to money. I put in password and system
fails to connect I just get an error. If I go in
without .net passport and internet details, ie password
and then do not connect, I can enter and then connect to
net OK once in. This all driving me wild. Have norton
internet sec, antivirus, running, adaware, spybot and cw
shedder all run and system clean. But auto update in
latter also has stopped working. Any help appreciated.
Had to use sons pc. as this is through a pop up!

Have you updated Ad-Aware, Spybot and CWShredder?
