Borderlund can't find files

I don't have windows. A neighbor has had it for years. He has been
using a Borderlund program to create church bulletins. This week he got
a new computer, also with WindowsXP. He reinstalled the program and
copied his folder of bulletins onto his new HD. His old HD is also in
the new computer.

If he opens the Borderlund program, he can open the four bulletins that
appear as "most recent" on the File menu. If he chooses "open" on the
File menu, there are no files to open.

If he opens the bulletins folder on the desktop and double clicks one of
the file icons, the Borderlund program opens but it doesn't open the
bulletin.

What could be wrong?

The new installation setup a storage folder and that is where it expects the files to be located.
Have the neighbor create a dummy documents and do a Save-As. Then watch where the computer saves
it.
Then copy the old files into that folder.
When that works, you can then delete the old files in the old folder.
I am assuming the program was installed from the original Borderlund disks and not just copied to
the new computer.
I am also assuming that the new installation was the same version that created the old files.
If the program was simply moved to the new computer it wont work.
If the files were created with different version, they may or may not work.

I haven't been able to get back to his computer, but he told me he
created and saved a new document, but only the program opened when he
double clicked the document icon.
