BMP instead of JPG

When I try to save a picture on a website (right click,
save as....) it reverts *.bmp, untiltled instead of the
real name in JPG format. Is there a setting to correct
this?

This is almost always cured by clearing the IE cache.
From IE> Tools> Options> General> Delete Files & Delete offline content. You
might also set the TIF folder size to about 50MB. Bigger isn't necessarily
better.

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
