blank gap

I have typed an outline and when I went to check the document there was a large blank gap towar the beginning of the outline. I tried deleating and such, I even re-typed the document on another new document and the same thing happened at the same place in the document. Can anyone help? It seems as if the blank space cannot even be high-lighted in order to get rid of it.

If you are using heading styles to create your outline, note that all
heading styles are formatted as "Keep with next," which makes them chase
each other to the next page. You'll need to remove this formatting.
