Black screen after DOS portion of setup completed

I am clean installing windows xp pro. I did
fdisk,partition and formating and started set up program.
It copied files from CD to hard disk and after finishing
copy it said finished DOS portion of process and
restarting computer but after restarting computer only
black screen showed up.
