Howdy,

At one time, I had Business Contact Manager up and working. Then I
installed some software for my phone - which totally hozed Outlook. I
then uninstalled the phone software and reinstalled Outlook
Professional 2003 and BCM... Since that time, BCM has beem MIA.

To this point I have uninstalled/reinstalled BCM and Outlook a dozen
times.

I can go to the folder view, add BCM as an Outlook Data File and see
the folders - but things are really screwy.

I do not get the BCM tools on the toolbar
I do not get any of the BCM contact info
when I try to create a new contact - all email resides in the
contacted area

Frustrated!

1. Try creating a new profile.
2. Are you using Exchange?
3. Check the registry key for BCM load behavior. It can be found at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.Busine
ssSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.Connect.1
Make sure the value is set to 3.

1. I tried creating a new profile - then reinstalling, no luck.
2. I am not using Exchange
3. I looked for the registry (it doesn't even exist, anymore).

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling so many times - who know's
what might be wrong, now...

Maybe I should just for-go the product, until it is mature enough that
Microsoft knows how to fix it... Anyone wanna recommend a good third
party tool to manage business contacts (preferably from Outlook
2003)...

I am having an issue with getting the BCM integrated with
my Outlook as well. One thing for me is that I am using
on an Exchange Server and everything I try to add the
profile, Outlook tells me that it has removed the BCM
Profile because that version does not support use on
Exchange Server. I don't want to use them separately as
that defeats the entire purpose.

Suggestions?

Rick--

As far as I know BCM use with Exchange is only supported in one context so
far--with SBS and Outlook has to be in Cached Exchange Mode. See:
