Hello!

Anyone that knows how I limit bandwith on a nic, so I can simulate 56K
Modem, ISDN or ADSL speed with my applicatons on a XP workstation?

Using third-party utilities such as Bandwidth Controller or Netlimiter.
http://www.bandwidthcontroller.com/

Netlimiter allows you set the bandwidth on application basis. Bandwidth Controller, for NIC basis.
