Bad Product ID Number



While trying to get into the support website, I gave MS my product ID number,
but steadfastly got this reply:

"The product ID number you entered is not supported in the country that you
have selected."

I took the product number from My Computer>Properties>General Tab. It IS
the correct product number, but MS won't help me until I give them a "valid"
one. What can I do?
