backups - toshiba satellite pro a10

when I try to use the backup utility on my satellite pro
a10 to make a copy on a cdrw i always get the
message "D:\Backup.bkf could not be used. Please ensure
it is a valid path, and that you have sufficient
access". i am the administrator - what's the problem?

Greetings

NTBackup doesnt see a CD writer or DVD writer as backup medium. You can
either purchase third party software to do complete backup's to CD's. Or
third party CD
writing software (Nero 6 or EZ CD 6) that will allow you to span 1 file to
multiple CD's. If you chose to purchase CD burning software, then all you
do is backup to your hard drive and copy it over with the third party CD
software.

Xp Backup will not backup directly to a cd. Backup to the hard drive , then
to the cd. Jym
