Backup over a LAN problem

I have an XP Home machine with a shared folder for storing
backups from a XP Pro machine over a LAN.

The Pro machine has a network connection to the shared
folder in the Pro's My Network Places. The connection to
the shared folder using the icon in My Network Places
works.

When I attempt to use backup on the Pro machine to backup
to the Home machine in the part of the wizard that is used
to determine where to place the backup I use the browse
button. A window opens that asks for a floppy to be
inserted which I do. But, when I attempt to go to the
shared folder connection in My Network Places I get "Drive
or network connection......is unavailable"

I do not understand. I can connect to the shared folder on
the Home machine using My Network Places on the Pro
machine but not using the Backup utility on the Pro
machine.

Any ideas on what is going wrong?

Ran into a couple days ago, here is what I did go to my computer and map the
drive. Example C is shared on XPh so you click my computer XPp and select
tools then map network drive in the text box type either ip or computer name
(\\192.168.1.255\c or \\helen\c ) click ok the computer will connect the
drive and place an icon in your my computer window. Now when you browse you
will find it. After you have completed what you want to do you can right
click that mapped drive and select disconnect to remove it.
