Hi all,
I am having an issue with a workstation in a networked environment.
The user is having an issue that is petty as hell to me, but he is very
unhappy. Making users happy keeps me in grub.
So, he likes his icons arranged in a very particular order on his desktop.
Everytime he reboots his computer, and we shut them off every night, his
settings are lost. Not just that, but it appears that the icons are set to
autoarrange.
I've checked everything I can think of and it's no good. Of course, I've
logged on as the user and made sure autoarrange isn't in use for the
desktop. I've logged in as the local admin and made sure there, too.
The system is XP Pro SP2. The hardware shouldn't matter for this. We don't
run any custom software, so that shouldn't be a consideration.
If anyone can think of anything I could try, or should read or whatever, any
input is helpful. I just want to get his icons to stay put after a reboot.
Thank you.
